Sometime long, long ago, I wrote about my attempts at making horse cookies. I think I may have even promised to post a recipe!? Well, I didn’t totally forget about it. OK, maybe I did. My life has been a bit nutty lately. Todd has left for Stevens Point now so we are officially in a long-distance marriage. Poop. There is only on bit of good that comes from my being stuck so far from him…I should get some time for horse things!
So, back to the horse cookies. After my first debacle with horse treats it was more than year before I tried something new. I cannot even begin to tell you where I found my inspiration recipe but considering I had less than half of the ingredients and didn’t really follow it anyway, I’m not too worried. I wanted a horse treat that lasts as my first attempt molded in two days. These certainly do. That being said, I apologize in advance for the far from exact measurements. They are horse cookies, not a wedding cake or something else that’s really complicated to make.
Below is a printable 4″ x 6″ recipe! Have fun and feel free to let me know how they turned out for you!
